How to Calculate Multiples?

Multiples of a number are calculated by simple multiplication. Starting from the base number, you multiply it by increasing integers until you reach the desired count or end number.

Examples

Example 1: Find all multiples of 5 within the range 1 to 50.

Set base number and range: Base number \( = 5 \), starting number \( = 1 \), ending number \( = 50 \). Calculate multiples:

  • \( 5 \times 1 = 5 \)
  • \( 5 \times 2 = 10 \)
  • \( 5 \times 3 = 15 \)
  • \( 5 \times 4 = 20 \)
  • \( 5 \times 5 = 25 \)
  • \( 5 \times 6 = 30 \)
  • \( 5 \times 7 = 35 \)
  • \( 5 \times 8 = 40 \)
  • \( 5 \times 9 = 45 \)
  • \( 5 \times 10 = 50 \)

Result: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50.

Example 2: Find the first 5 multiples of 3 starting from 2.

Set base number and count: Base number \( = 3 \), starting number \( = 2 \), count \( = 5 \). Calculate multiples:

  • \( 3 \times 2 = 6 \)
  • \( 3 \times 3 = 9 \)
  • \( 3 \times 4 = 12 \)
  • \( 3 \times 5 = 15 \)
  • \( 3 \times 6 = 18 \)

Result: 6, 9, 12, 15, 18.

Example 3: Find all multiples of 7 between 10 and 100.

Set base number and range: Base number \( = 7 \), starting number \( = 10 \), ending number \( = 100 \). Calculate multiples:

  • \( 7 \times 2 = 14 \)
  • \( 7 \times 3 = 21 \)
  • \( 7 \times 4 = 28 \)
  • \( 7 \times 5 = 35 \)
  • \( 7 \times 6 = 42 \)
  • \( 7 \times 7 = 49 \)
  • \( 7 \times 8 = 56 \)
  • \( 7 \times 9 = 63 \)
  • \( 7 \times 10 = 70 \)
  • \( 7 \times 11 = 77 \)
  • \( 7 \times 12 = 84 \)
  • \( 7 \times 13 = 91 \)
  • \( 7 \times 14 = 98 \)

Result: 14, 21, 28, 35, 42, 49, 56, 63, 70, 77, 84, 91, 98.
